Public RelationsInformation / Press field guide

Earn attention with a story you can support

Find the angle.
Keep the facts.

Prepare story angles, journalist-pitch drafts and media materials from confirmed company facts. This original Skill helps founders and communications teams make a story useful to the person receiving it.

An actual saved draft / fictional survey

23 of 40 bookshops use ad hoc event signups

“This is a self-selected sample, not a claim about all bookshops.”

The checked PagePocket example turned supplied survey notes into a pitch. The headline is specific; the evidence limit stays attached. It represents a fictional drafting case, not real research or achieved coverage.

01

A practical press preparation kit.

THE STORY

Angles & pitch drafts

Shape a supplied finding, milestone or timely perspective into a reader-relevant story, a specific subject and one clear ask.

THE RESPONSE

Press-request answers

Prepare a focused response to a journalist query using approved expertise, facts and quotations.

THE MATERIAL

Company & media-kit copy

Draft a copy-ready company description and identify the biographies, images, logos, links and approvals still needed.

THE SPOKESPERSON

Podcast & incident briefs

Organize guest talking points or an incident-statement draft. Show-specific research needs access; incident facts and responsibility claims need review.

02

Your facts become editable copy.

Bring a real reason to talk
Company context, confirmed news, dates and the audience that would care.
Bring evidence and permission
Approved data, method, sample size, source excerpts and an available spokesperson.
Bring the recipient context
An article excerpt, press query or show notes; mark missing assets and links explicitly.

Best when you have a real story and approved evidence. A product with no news hook, an unverified contact list or a request for guaranteed placement needs more preparation or a different service. Supply only material you may use and share.

03

Start with the sources you have.

Use your supported assistant.

The package needs a host that can load Agent Skill instructions and read your material. It is free; the assistant’s model service, subscription or usage credits are separate.

No extra API for drafting.

Supplied company facts and article excerpts need no media-database account or connected email. Live news, journalist and podcast research requires current sources and the host’s available tools.

  • Optional research branches name browser and network tools; those are not bundled or needed for supplied-material drafts.
  • Nothing automatically contacts a journalist, sends email or publishes a statement. Placement, response rate and coverage are not guaranteed.
  • Verify recipient fit, sources, permissions and every factual claim before sharing. For breach, injury, litigation or regulator matters, obtain appropriate legal review before responsibility claims.
04

Provenance you can inspect.

The package preserves Corey Haines’s original Public Relations v1.2.0, eight reference documents and the eval definitions. Original instructions and references are unchanged. MIT copyright and license text, Knowatoa’s podcast-source credit and license, and the crisis contribution credit are retained.

One source-guided synthetic pitch draft passed eight mechanical checks on length, source fidelity, unresolved assets and the draft-only boundary. This was not installed-client activation, live recipient research, a sent pitch, measured press results or execution of the full upstream eval suite.
