Living-Halftone Canvas Film

Description

One dense dot-raster canvas, two close hues on a deep ground, stays on screen for the whole film and never cuts or restarts. Each beat changes it: denser, warmer, darker, closer. At every seam the canvas moves about 0.1 seconds before the warm foreground type, and travels further. The eight beats run from a flat thesis, a word that scales up until the raster fills it, a four-word problem, and one typed ask, to a burst of small asks stacking faster than they can be read. Then come the real control in action, a reframe, and the lockup, with the canvas back at its opening state. Use it for a precise, technical product whose argument is control: an inspector, an editor, a parameter surface. The canvas obeying its cues on time makes that argument before any copy lands. It does not suit warm, human, or story-led launches, and has no room for characters, footage, or narrative. The raster is programmatic CSS with two dot layers at different pitches, animated only through transforms and wash-layer opacity so the render does not stutter. The output is a 20 to 30 second MP4 at 1920x1080 and 30fps with no voiceover, plus the HyperFrames project with one shared canvas component and a storyboard column logging the canvas move for every beat.

What you get

• Replaces scene changes with one continuous halftone canvas, so the edit reads as a single surface being driven.
• Applies a lead-by-a-beat rule at every seam: the canvas moves about 0.1 seconds ahead of the text and further than it.
• Builds the raster in code from two dot layers, with no bitmap, and animates it with transforms only for a stutter-free render.
• Uses the small, real asks your users type as the film's spine, ending on one complete interaction with your actual control.
